CPR Stands for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Heart, lungs, resuscitation.) CPR is a lifesaving emergency procedure that is performed on a patient whose heart is no longer beating.

Many jobs require CPR certification, however, everyone should know how to do CPR. It can double or even triple the patient’s chance of survival if CPR is delivered in a timely manner to a patient in need.

You have two options for recertification. Our blended learning option is great for students who have taken a class or several classes in the past. You will receive a study at home guide via email and book a 30 minute one-on-one hands on skills session with one of our instructors. Blended learning is also available for the BLS Provider Course as well. Please visit shopcpr.heart.org for more information. Choose the HeartCode option. Once you complete the course online, you can then schedule your hands-on learning portion with one of our AHA Certified instructors. However, our 2 hour CPR class option is designed for recerts and new students as well! To view our classes click here.

We have three CPR classes we teach:

  1. Our basic CPR, AED, First-Aid course is typically required for CCSD employees, caregivers, electricians, construction, dental, pharmacists, foster care and many other professions. To view our available courses click here.
  2. Our Childcare CPR, AED, First-aid Course is the same as our regular class however, you will receive a EMS card that is accepted by Nevada Childcare Registry. This card is for those that work in a preschool or daycare setting only. To view our available courses click here.
  3. We also offer a CPR course called BLS (Basic Life Support) which is for medical professionals like nurses (including CCSD RN’s), doctors, hospital workers, EMT’s and paramedics. Our BLS Provider course is an American Heart Association (AHA) course taught by an accredited AHA instructor. You will receive an AHA digital certificate upon completion. This option is best suited for individuals who have previously taken a CPR, AED, and First-aid class in person. You will receive your CPR, AED, and First Aid Guide via email and study it at your own pace. You will then come in for your scheduled 30-minute session to demonstrate your hands-on skills with an instructor at our location to complete your CPR, AED, First Aid training and receive your 2 year certification card. There is not a specific minimum age requirement for CPR training with our company. However, we recommend the age of 12 years old due to the graphic nature of the material. If your child is under the age of 12 and you feel he or she is mature enough to participate in our CPR training, that is up to your discretion.
Recertification can be done by taking a regular CPR, AED, First Aid class or a blended learning option for the class recertification you require.
AED Stands for Automated External Defibrillator. AED’s can often be located in malls, casinos, airports, planes, office buildings, high schools in Clark County, dentist, doctors offices, state buildings, and even homes! All of our classes certify you in AED training.
