When it comes to choosing the right CPR training course and companies, there are a few things to consider.

What are Nevada’s laws on CPR, AED, First Aid certification cards?

In Nevada, NRS 391.092 states that the CPR, AED, First-Aid certification you receive must comply with the guidelines established by American Red Cross or The American Heart Association for the certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

At CPR Connections we follow the current ECC guidelines in all of our classes. The ECC guidelines are established by The American Heart Association, therefore, we are in compliance with the Nevada state laws for CPR certification.

Should CPR trainers be national certified?

In order to receive high quality CPR training and life saving skills, CPR, AED, First Aid instructors should be nationally certified.

What does “nationally certified” mean?

It means that the instructors received training from an instructor / trainer that is authorized by a national safety program. Some examples of national safety programs and organizations would be:

  • HSI (which includes EMS, Medic First Aid)
  • American Heart Association
  • American Red Cross
